Super nice to be honest, the staff was both nice and not nice but that doesn't really matter so much. Rooms are clean toilets very good and kitchen big and modern. I was happy.
Poor WiFi signal.
Noisy neighbours nobody cares about.
Not that clean kitchen.
Good place to stay in the city center for reasonable rates.
I can recommend the Retro Hostel to anyone who is looking for a cheap and centrally located accomodation. The hostel stretches over two floors and has a big, light, modern kitchen with lots of space (and tables and sofas), where you can prepare and eat your meals if you want to. I stayed in a clean and reasonably furnished double-bedroom with a window going out to the statue of the poet Janicki, which is right in front of the hostel. I loved the view, but the problem was that it also was quite loud at night and in the early mornings. If you can sleep with a closed window, this shouldn't be a problem for you though. For me it was a little bit unfortunately. The shared bathrooms were pretty good, even though one shower and one toilet were bein repaired during my stay. The staff was really friendly and helpful and I could also lock in my luggage on the day I left. Overall I'd definitely recommend the Retro Hostel, because the location can't be beaten and it was one of the better hostels I stayed in.
Simple hotel, clean and nice everything you need but nothing more
